Using the 3 SIM card for tracking in Traxmate

Traxmate, in partnership with 3 Sweden, now offers 3 SIM IoT Tracking Service, a cost-effective and hassle-free tracking solution with once-per-day location updates. Using the SIM card’s serving cell, this solution provides global location tracking without needing GPS, making it ideal for IoT applications, asset tracking, and large-scale deployments. It is built on the Traxmate integration with the Cisco IoT Control Center (previously known as Cisco Jasper).
Pricing starts at just 0.3€ per SIM per month for individual subscriptions, with significantly lower rates available for bulk deployments. This makes it an affordable and scalable solution for businesses needing reliable, low-power location tracking.

All your SIMs will automatically appear in your device list and on your map.
The first time, it may take up to 24 hours for the device to become visible, as data is only sent from the 3 IoT control center when the serving cell is updated.
After that, the location in Traxmate will be updated once a day—typically within the first hour of the new day—whenever the SIM card changes its serving cell.

In the platform you will be able also to see historical data and tracks.
